27 Unanswered Points: Commanders Roll Past the Eagles 27-10 on Sunday Night (Fort Myers Watch News)

Landover, Md. — The Philadelphia Eagles scored the game's first 10 points on Sunday night. They did not score again. Jayden Daniels threw for 217 yards and a touchdown and the Washington Commanders shut out Philadelphia over the final three quarters of a 27-10 victory, the Associated Press reported.

Washington (2-4-1) trailed 10-0 after Saquon Barkley's 3-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, then scored 27 unanswered points. Daniels connected with Stefon Diggs for an 8-yard touchdown in the second quarter that tied the game at 10, and the Commanders carried a 13-10 lead into halftime behind the first of Drew Stevens' four field goals on the night.

The defense did the rest. Washington sacked Eagles quarterback Tanner McKee five times, intercepted him once and held Philadelphia to 268 total yards. Stevens' fourth field goal, from 42 yards, stretched the lead to 19-10 with 3:43 left, and Washington finished the scoring on a 1-yard touchdown run by Rachaad White and a two-point conversion run by Austin Ekeler with 1:52 to play.

For Philadelphia (2-6), the loss was a sixth straight defeat — the franchise's longest losing streak since 2012. The Eagles host the New York Giants next Sunday, while the Commanders, winners for the first time in more than a month, host the Los Angeles Rams.
