Election Day Weather for Fort Myers Voters: Warm, With Showers Possible Between the Sunshine
The station's live feed puts Election Day at 83 degrees with a 37% rain chance - plan for a possible shower line at the polls, then a warm, unsettled week with Wednesday the wettest day.

FORT MYERS - Voters heading out Tuesday will get a warm Election Day with a real chance of rain. The station's live weather feed (Open-Meteo) on Monday afternoon showed Fort Myers at 74.9 degrees, feeling like 80.5 under overcast skies, and it puts Tuesday at a high of 83.3 and a low of 71.5, with rain showers in the mix and a 37% precipitation chance - up from this morning's outlook, as the pattern that ended the area's dry October stays unsettled.
Practical read for Election Day: the showers in the forecast are the passing kind, not an all-day washout, but a morning or afternoon cell could put a line of voters under an awning for a spell. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; anyone in line at 7 p.m. still votes. Monday's rain was the month's first real break in the dry spell - National Weather Service reporting put coastal Lee County under an inch with 1 to 3 inches inland - and Tuesday's chance is the tail of the same system, not a new one.
The rest of the week stays warm and unsettled: Wednesday is the wettest day ahead (86.7 degrees, 62% precipitation chance), with Thursday at 86.5, Friday at 86.3, Saturday at 84.5 and Sunday at 82.4 in the current feed. Chief Meteorologist FTM-034's desk will update the Election Day file Tuesday morning with radar timing for the heaviest cells.
