Three Oaks Parkway Extension Opens November 2, Bringing Relief Off I-75
Lee County holds a ribbon cutting Monday for the completed Three Oaks Parkway corridor — a new four-lane north-south arterial meant to take pressure off Daniels Parkway, Alico Road and I-75.

A new Lee County road opens Monday, November 2, and county officials are calling it critical relief. Lee County is holding a ribbon cutting for the opening of the Three Oaks Parkway Extension, which completes the Three Oaks Parkway corridor and gives drivers a major north-south arterial alternative to Interstate 75, according to the county.
The Lee County Department of Transportation project extends Three Oaks Parkway across the Fiddlesticks Canal to Daniels Parkway. The new section is a four-lane divided roadway with two 11-foot lanes in each direction, a 5-foot bike lane and a 6-foot sidewalk on each side, the county said. The corridor runs from Daniels Parkway south through the Village of Estero and the City of Bonita Springs into Collier County, and the project is classified as a Tier 1 Capital Improvement Project Priority for the Board of County Commissioners.
Motorists will still see additional work in the area after the ribbon cutting, but the new portion opens ahead of schedule: final completion is now scheduled for early 2027, against an original contract completion of mid-2028, according to the county. For drivers on Daniels Parkway, Alico Road and I-75 — corridors the county counts among the busiest in Southwest Florida — Monday's opening is the first new capacity in years.
