Cape Coral Opens Veterans Month With a Salute to Service at Cultural Park on Sunday
The Cape Coral Museum of History's second annual Salute to Service and Sacrifice runs noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Cultural Park — a free afternoon of ceremonies, music, food trucks and veteran support organizations.

Cape Coral starts Veterans Month in the park on Sunday. The Cape Coral Museum of History hosts its second annual Salute to Service and Sacrifice event from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, at Cultural Park, a free celebration of the men and women currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, veterans and their families, the Cape Coral Breeze reported.
Opening ceremonies begin at 12:30 p.m. with an Honor Guard presentation of the colors and a performance by Guns and Hoses. Robert Gonnelli and Associates' “A Moment In Time” performs throughout the day, alongside the Calendar Girls and a Mariner JROTC rifle demonstration. Veteran support organizations from across the city will be on site, with food trucks and a vendor village, and guests can tour the museum's 250th Anniversary exhibit during the event.
The museum sits at 544 Cultural Park Boulevard and Cultural Park itself is at 528 Cultural Park Boulevard. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or a blanket, and the Breeze reported the event will be held rain or shine — worth knowing on a Sunday when the station's own forecast carries a two-in-three chance of rain over the area.
