Fort Myers Voter's Guide: Mayor, School Board Runoffs and the Governor's Race Top the 2026 Ballot
Early voting ends Saturday in Lee County. Before Election Day on Tuesday, here is what Fort Myers and Lee County voters are deciding — from City Hall to the governor's mansion.

Fort Myers — Saturday, October 31 is the last day of early voting in Lee County, with all 12 early voting sites open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters who wait for Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, will vote at their assigned precincts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and vote-by-mail ballots must reach the Lee County Supervisor of Elections no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
At City Hall, incumbent Fort Myers Mayor Kevin Anderson is challenged by Amber Ware, and the Ward 3 City Council seat is also on the ballot. Lee County school board races went to runoffs in two districts: incumbent Debbie Jordan is defending seat 4, and incumbent Armor Persons is defending seat 5. Countywide, Supervisor of Elections Jenna Persons-Mulicka — appointed by the governor after the former supervisor retired — is asking voters to keep her in the job against a challenger. Lee voters are also deciding a proposed charter amendment that would elect county commissioners by single-member districts.
At the top of the ticket, Governor Ron DeSantis has termed out, and Republican Byron Donalds faces Democrat David Jolly to succeed him. Donalds' decision to run for governor opened his U.S. House seat: District 19 covers large parts of Lee and Collier counties, while the redrawn District 17, focused on Sarasota and Charlotte counties, now reaches further into Lee County, including parts of Fort Myers.
