Pine Ridge Road Closed Under I-75 All Weekend; Posted Detours Run Through Immokalee Road and Golden Gate Parkway
FDOT has closed eastbound and westbound Pine Ridge Road under I-75 from late Friday night through early Sunday while crews install overhead structures and signage at the exit 107 interchange.
Naples — Drivers crossing under Interstate 75 on Pine Ridge Road will need a detour all weekend. The Florida Department of Transportation closed eastbound and westbound Pine Ridge Road under I-75 beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, October 30, and the closure runs through 6 a.m. Sunday, November 1, while crews install overhead structures and signage at the interchange. The closure applies to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.
Posted detours keep traffic moving around the work. Southbound I-75 drivers headed for eastbound Pine Ridge Road may exit at Immokalee Road (exit 111), travel east to Logan Boulevard and return south to Pine Ridge Road. Northbound I-75 drivers bound for westbound Pine Ridge Road may exit at Golden Gate Parkway (exit 105), travel west to Livingston Road and return north. I-75 itself remains open in both directions over Pine Ridge Road.
The work is part of FDOT's reconstruction of the I-75 at Pine Ridge Road interchange, which is being converted to a diverging diamond design with rebuilt ramps, new signals, resurfacing, and pedestrian and bicycle accommodations through the interchange. FDOT notes the schedule can change with weather or unforeseen underground conditions.
Farther north, the I-75 at Daniels Parkway interchange project in Fort Myers also remains active: when necessary, motorists should anticipate lane closures on I-75 between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. and on Daniels Parkway between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Northbound I-75 traffic there has shifted slightly toward the median, and the northbound on-ramp runs on a temporary ramp.
