Yellow Fever Creek Preserve Opens in Cape Coral, With Trails, a Fishing Pond, Disc Golf and Camping
Cape Coral's newest outdoor destination officially opened Friday with a ribbon cutting on Del Prado Boulevard North — a $6 million preserve with nature trails, a fishing pond, disc golf and camping areas.

Cape Coral's newest outdoor destination is open. Yellow Fever Creek Preserve officially opened on Friday, October 30, with a 10 a.m. ribbon cutting at 3115 Del Prado Boulevard North, according to the Southwest Florida newsletter's weekend issue.
The preserve features nature trails, a fishing pond, disc golf, camping areas and opportunities to enjoy local wildlife, and opening-day festivities included guided tours and animal encounters. The opening was free and open to the public, with no reservations needed for the ceremony. NBC2 put the price of the new preserve at $6 million.
For Cape Coral families, the preserve adds a north-side outdoor option in a city that has been building out its parks system through the year — a place to walk flatwoods trails, fish the pond or play a round of disc golf without leaving the city. It arrives on a Halloween weekend already full of outdoor options across Lee County, from the Lakes Park Fall Festival's final day to the craft fairs in North Fort Myers.
