FGCU Women's Soccer Wins Its 13th ASUN Regular-Season Title — and the Road to the NCAA Tournament Runs Through Fort Myers
A 2-0 win at Stetson on Saturday sealed the crown at 10-2-5. Now Pickering Field hosts the ASUN Championship: a first-round game Thursday, FGCU's semifinal Sunday, and a possible final on November 13.

Florida Gulf Coast's women's soccer team needed a result in DeLand on Saturday, and it got the cleanest one available: a 2-0 win over Stetson that secured the program's 13th ASUN regular-season championship, according to FGCU Athletics. The Eagles close the regular season 10-2-5 overall and 7-1-2 in conference play, with 23 points — four clear of the rest of the league.
The title extends one of the ASUN's defining runs. It is the 15th time in 17 seasons that FGCU has won either the regular-season or the tournament championship, and the 19th consecutive complete season in which the Eagles have reached double-digit wins.
The reward is a postseason that runs entirely through Fort Myers. Pickering Field hosts a first-round match on Thursday, November 5 at 7 p.m., between fourth-seeded West Florida and fifth-seeded Jacksonville, and FGCU meets the winner in the semifinals on Sunday, November 8 at 1 p.m. Win that, and the Eagles host the ASUN Championship game on Friday, November 13 — with the league's NCAA Tournament berth on the line. Tickets for all three dates are on sale through FGCUTickets.com.
