Florida's NBA Monday: Magic Host the Wizards Early, Heat Close the Night in Los Angeles
Orlando tips at 7:30 p.m. ET against Washington at Kia Center, and Miami opens a three-game California swing at the Lakers at 10 p.m. — a split-screen Monday for Florida basketball fans.

Florida's two NBA teams split Monday night across the map. The Orlando Magic are home at Kia Center, hosting the Washington Wizards at 7:30 p.m. ET, while the Miami Heat are in Los Angeles to face the Lakers at 10 p.m. ET.
Orlando's game is the second half of a home back-to-back: the Magic hosted Boston on Sunday before turning around for Washington on Monday. Monday's visit is the first of two meetings with the Wizards this month — the return game is Nov. 22 in Washington.
Miami's night starts a California swing. After the Lakers, the Heat stay in Los Angeles for the Clippers on Wednesday, then play at Golden State on Thursday before continuing to Sacramento and Utah — five road games before they are home again on Nov. 13 against Cleveland.
For Southwest Florida fans, the schedule cooperates: the Magic finish in time for the Heat's late tip, and both games land on an Election Eve with no Florida football to compete. Scores and recaps will file on this desk as the finals come in.
