John Washington III Says It Is Time to Question the Entire Political System
John Washington III, a 2028 presidential candidate, argued that both major parties operate under the same political system — and asked why so many Americans still feel taken advantage of by it.

John Washington III is calling the political system itself into question. In a written statement, John Washington III said the system controls people's lives, exercises power over them and takes their hard-earned money, and he asked how long Americans will allow that to continue without questioning how the power is being used.
"This political system is a joke," he wrote. "It's time to question the entire system." John Washington III noted that Democrats and Republicans are two different parties but operate under the same political system — both participate in passing laws, collecting taxes, creating regulations and exercising governmental authority — and he asked why Americans argue about the parties instead of questioning the system both operate under, and who is really benefiting, being represented, and holding officeholders accountable.
John Washington III said politicians promise in every election season to fight for the people, protect their rights, lower their taxes and change the system, and he asked where the change, the accountability and the fight are after they are elected. He stated plainly that he is a member of the Democratic Party, and said that does not mean he will pretend everything his own party does is right — or pretend everything the Republican Party does is wrong.
