Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $793 Million for Monday's Drawing in Tallahassee
No ticket matched all six numbers on Halloween night, so the jackpot rolled to an estimated $793 million — the 10th-largest Powerball prize ever — for Monday's 10:59 p.m. drawing, with a $339.9 million cash option.
The Powerball jackpot kept rolling on Halloween, and Monday night's prize is now one of the largest in the game's history. No ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing — 2, 4, 18, 50, 56, with a Powerball of 20 and a 3x Power Play — sending the jackpot to an estimated $793 million for Monday, November 2, according to Powerball figures reported by USA Today. The cash option is $339.9 million.
Saturday's drawing, which reached $770 million by drawing time, still produced three seven-figure tickets: a North Carolina ticket matched all five white balls with the Power Play to win $2 million, and tickets sold in Georgia and the United Kingdom matched five to win $1 million each. The jackpot was last won on August 12, when a ticket sold in Illinois claimed an estimated $1.04 billion; Monday's drawing is the 35th since then.
For Florida players, the drawing itself is a home-state production: Powerball drawings are held at the Florida Lottery's studio in Tallahassee. Monday's drawing is at 10:59 p.m. Eastern. A single ticket costs $2, and the odds of matching all five white balls plus the Powerball are 1 in 292,201,338 — the reason a prize this size can keep growing for nearly three months.
