Week 11 Friday Roundup: Gulf Coast Rallies Past Immokalee, Riverdale Blanks Lehigh, Ida Baker Takes the Crosstown Showdown (Fort Myers Watch News)

Gulf Coast saved its season on Friday night. Trailing Immokalee 21-7, the Sharks buried the hosts under a 41-3 avalanche the rest of the way to win 42-28 and secure a spot in the postseason, the News-Press reported. Senior Gio Marenco ran for 265 yards and three touchdowns, including an 87-yard score, and junior quarterback Wyatt Raymer threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns as Gulf Coast (8-2) won its first game over Immokalee since 2022 and headed into the playoffs on a three-game winning streak. Immokalee finished 6-4.

In the Battle of the Bell, Riverdale rolled past rival Lehigh 38-0 to keep the trophy for a third straight season. Jacorie Darrisaw intercepted three passes, Johnny Colston caught two touchdown passes, and the Raiders (8-2) closed the regular season with four straight wins; Lehigh finished 2-8.

Ida Baker took the Crosstown Showdown Trophy with a 35-8 win over Island Coast, ending its regular season 6-4 — the school's first winning record in 13 years. Junior Dominic Pena carried 34 times for 234 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs. Elsewhere Friday, South Fort Myers shut out Lely 55-0, and Palmetto beat Bishop Verot 36-13, holding the Vikings scoreless in the second half after Verot had led early; Bishop Verot (6-3) remains district champion and playoff-bound despite the loss. Playoff brackets are announced by the FHSAA on November 6.
