Turner Beach Park's Restrooms and Showers Are Closed for Plumbing Repairs — the Beach Is Not
Temporary restrooms are in place at the Sanibel park while the plumbing work runs, but the outdoor showers stay off until repairs finish — and the Beach Road access lot is closed through November 6 for a separate lift-station project.

Beachgoers heading to Turner Beach Park will find the facilities roped into a repair job. The City of Sanibel says the park's restroom and shower facilities closed temporarily beginning Thursday, October 29, to allow for necessary plumbing repairs, and the work is expected to be completed within a few days, weather permitting and barring unforeseen circumstances.
The beach itself stays open, and the city has put temporary restroom facilities in place for public use for the duration of the repairs. The outdoor showers are the exception — they remain closed until the plumbing work is finished. Visitors are asked to use caution while workers and equipment are present, and to follow any posted signage or temporary restrictions at the park.
It is one of two Sanibel closures to plan around this week. The Beach Road Beach Access parking lot is also closed, through Friday, November 6, to make room for construction equipment on the city's Lift Station Rehabilitation Project — wastewater infrastructure work the city says strengthens its resilience. Questions on either project go to Sanibel Public Works at (239) 472-6397.
