Cold Stone Creamery Plans a Downtown Fort Myers Shop at 2272 First Street
Plan review documents filed by CSC of Downtown LLC put the ice cream shop in Unit 101 on First Street, in the middle of the River District's restaurant row.

Downtown Fort Myers is getting a Cold Stone Creamery. Plan review documents submitted by CSC of Downtown LLC place the new shop at 2272 First St., Unit 101, in the heart of the River District, according to reporting published Sunday.
The First Street address puts the shop among one of downtown's busiest dining stretches, alongside restaurants including Izzy's Fish & Oyster and Scoops on First. Cold Stone, which prepares custom ice cream creations on a frozen granite stone, has operated for more than 30 years; the Fort Myers filing follows October reports of planned locations in Bradenton and Sun City Center, part of a busy autumn for the chain on Florida's west coast.
The plan documents, as reported, do not state an opening date. The shop's arrival adds a national dessert name to a First Street corridor that has steadily filled with restaurants and bars, giving River District visitors a late-night ice cream stop within walking distance of the Caloosahatchee riverfront.
